Low-cost real-time bus departure boards, on e-ink.

E-ink departure boards that pole-mount in minutes. Solar-powered and cellular-connected, with no trenching, no electrician, and no stop-side infrastructure needed. Priced for mid-sized transit systems, so you can put real-time arrivals at the stops most agencies have to skip.

Why we built it

Rider confidence comes from knowing when the bus is coming.

When riders don't know if the bus is coming, they lose confidence and opt for other forms of transportation. Real-time information at the stop is one of the highest-leverage tools a transit agency has for building and keeping ridership.

Better Insight
Without real-time info, riders perceive their wait as 1.2–4.4× longer than it actually is. A sign on the pole closes most of that gap.
Accessible
Older riders, visitors, and riders without smartphones get the same real-time information as everyone else. Nothing to download, nothing to log into.
Network Wide
LED economics force agencies to pick a few flagship shelters. PingTransit lets you cover the full network at a price that fits the budget.
Capabilities

Drive rider confidence in your network.

More accurate information at the stop means more rider confidence in the network.

Live departures with a georeferenced map

The live map renders every approaching bus in real time, with the route lines and the rider's stop marked. Riders can see where the bus actually is for added confidence.

Hyperaccurate GTFS-RT and wayfinding data

We use your existing GTFS-RT feed, combined with live drive-time and traffic data, to give riders extreme arrival accuracy right at the stop.

Operations console for transit staff

Full control of the entire fleet via our web application. View each sign's health, its configuration, and public feedback on one web-based map. Push service alerts to a single board, a route, or the entire network from your dashboard with ease.

Solar-powered, pole-mounted

No trenching, no conduit, no electrician. The board straps to the existing stop pole and runs entirely off a solar panel and battery storage combination.

Bring real-time departures to every stop in your network.
